 Post subject: confused about hand rubbed oil application

Location: eastern shore of Virginia
I have been asked to put hand rubbed oil on a new floor. How do yuou apply the hand rubbed oil and how much does the product cost? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Without specifying which product they want, you cannot give the customers a proper estimate. There are numerous "oils" one could put one a floor. Tung oil, lemon oil, teak oil, rosewood oil, linseed oil, Danish oil, Etc. Also, many different brands and techniques. There is Watco, Waterlox, DuraSeal, Minwax, McCloskey's, Penefin, etc. You need to get specific. "Hand rubbed" is another word for burnished. We all use buffers for that.
