We installed engineered bamboo click-lock flooring last summer. Furnished the room, installed cabinets, a few months later the boards are starting to spread at the joints in a few spots. I didn't even know it was possible with the locking joint, and the joint members don't appear to have broken or split. I think I know why this is happening, but I'm not sure what the solution is. (Actually, I'm afraid of what the solution is.) When I installed the cabinets, I screwed into the floor in a few spots, so the floor can't move as it should. Lesson learned. Is there any fix for this apart from removing everything and reinstalling?

You have to cut the floor at the toekick on the cabinets. They make a saw for this but its kinda dangerous. You might try a Fien Multi-function tool. Then take the floor apart and put it back together with the recommended gap, cover it with some quarter round.
