I'm about convinced to put a click together wood floor in a small 20x10 room but am hesitating over something. I had read that "laminate" floors were very bad when moisture is concerned. I don't know the technical jargon but the floor I'm looking at is a click together no glue with real wood on top. The room in question has a door to the outside and has a little kitcheonette sink at the other end, both of which might be subject to a little moisture from spills around the kitecheonette and people dragging in water on their feet when it rains.
I could put door mats outside and just inside the outside door and I guess a mat by the kitcheonette sink. But would such moisture be a problem with the kind of floor I'm thinking of ? I don't think my desired type of floor is "laminate" (doesn't that mean a fake wood print pattern on something thin on the top ?) but rather real wood, though its clearly click together glueless. Would I need to lay tile just inside the outside door and around the kitcheonette. (BTW, the room is a guest place and probably won't get alot of traffic.
Thanks for any input.
