I'm installing 5/8 inch, 3.5 inch wide engineered Brazilian maple on 5/8 inch subfloor.
Are cleats better than nails or staples?
I may use 1/2 inch engineered material instead--does that make a difference?

if you are a do-it yourselfer,.. hire a pro. The equipment and knowledge needed is something you may not have.. No offense. The nailing equipment costs money that can go toward hiring a pro.
