It is a planetary floor machine that can perform many other tasks like surface prep , marble floor grinding and honing, carpet cleaning, tile and grout scrubbing, concrete polishing. It uses three 8" velcro drivers on a 19" planetary head. I did not want to experiment with it on my own floors, and was curious if anyone here had used this machine on wood floors before.

Can it make coffee and give you a foot massage also? If so, I'd say go for it. :)

I did a little more searching and found this machine which is very similar to mine, except the drivers are 6" vs 8" . After seeing this it made me feel a little better about using the Cimex after all.

I just used one of these to do a floor. It has four 6" random orbitals on the bottom of it, and it worked well. It went very slow though, they do not cut very fast at all.
