I put up a beautiful Christmas tree in our home this year, our first in this new house. We took down the tree this evening and I noticed that the bath mat under the tree stand and skirt was wet. Much to my dismay, I have discoloration in the cracks and the floor feels slightly damp. The tree was up for two and a half weeks and the floor is not buckled. What can/should I do to clean the discoloration? Is this a matter to be tackled by a professional? Thanks for any help!
