I saw on one of the forums that someone said their Somerset flooring got a lot of dings in the finish (maybe because it was too thick, due to the 50 yr warranty.) I'm thinking maybe they had the oak flooring though.
Have you run across that problem with Somerset? We have just about decided on the Natural Hickory wide planks. The sample looks really beautiful.

I generally tell customers if the material is installed right ( i.e check moisture, ect ) the material isn't going to just go bad. Take care of the floors and they will both last you. Abuse them and, you will find yourself refinishing.
