Must the short legs milled sections of wood be tongue and grooved for a proper installation? meaning where the chevron comes to a point does that have to be joined by tongue and groove. I spoke to a large mill in Ohio that told me that they do not provide that set-up on their chevron.

all the herringbone I have sold in the past has had t&g on the sides and grooved on both butt ends and you would spline where needed a tounge. I wouldnt want to line it up with out some sort of joint at that point. I guess you could biscuit them on site but man what a pain. I also could see why they cant on a chevron because its a 45 deg angle and I have not seen any production equipment that can run a board thru it on 45 deg angle. If your looking for unfinished Chevron I only know one place.
