This is a Carrousel that we did about 4 yrs ago.

Very nice! I guess they used PT pine because it's outside? I take my disabled daughter to an antique one here. She enjoys them. The one here has a T&G fir floor that was just re-finished. I can tell they used a catalyzed waterbased urethane. It's holding up very well. But this carousel is inside a building completely covered and unexposed to the elements. Must be hard to sand all around the animals

No, the wood was just yellow pine. The Carrousel used to be in a Mall some where and after the first year in the weather all the finish just peeled up. All most everything was taken off that was on the floor boards. The only thing that was still up was the swings. It had 2 flights of stair, and as you can see it was 2 stories. There finish that we used was Waterlox Gloss for outside uses.
