After many years of my cat once in awhile missing her box, it's finally time for me to fix the area around her box. Before I call a floor specialist, what are my options? Obviously, replacing the boards is one. What about sanding or refinishing? I know nothing about flooring, sadly.

Just curious on your initial thoughts. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Del:

There's a good discussion over at a floor finishers board on the subject, but it's more up to a professional where some may have success and others not.
