Anyone have any experience using pre-finished soft maple such as the red Canadian maple that Build direct advertises,i believe it is 950 janka rating.Really like the look of this product .Just wondering how it would hold up in the long run.Any feedback would be a appreciated,thanks.

This rating is similar to walnut which is 1050. The refinished floors can last a long time with care. Remember that getting dents in the surface will be a fact of life for even harder floors. You should be able to re-coat the floor as the finish wears as normal maintenance. Use the right products to clean them and don't ever apply anything but the best floor finish to restore the shine.
