I recently broke up the tiles in the dining room of my restaurant to find more tiles underneath.
They are tiny square bistro looking tiles and are a pain to lift up.
Is it possible to glue wood flooring down directly to the tiles?

I have two types of wood I would like to use.

First choice, Unfinished Reclaimed knotty pine, 1 inch x 12 inch x 10 feet (not tongue and groove)
*the reclaimed wood isn't perfectly square, can this still work and what kind of filler could I use?

Second choice, Unfinished Yellow Pine 1 inch x 8 inch x 12 feet (tongue and groove.)

Glueing would save a ton of time and money (no permit required if I dont have to use a jack hammer to lift bistro tiles up)

Is it possible to make this work, and how long will the glue hold for?

Yes it can be done but thats a pretty tough job even for a pro. Floors gotta be flat as a pancake and so does the wood. In your case I'd say get the T&G and put down a ply subfloor (glued and fastened) and nail and glue the wood floor to it.

Elastilon could work. Too bad we don't have any experienced users here.
