I am going to replace the wood where the fridge set. Someone removed the pan and my GF's son cut out the rot. Existing is 2 1/4" sand and finish. I am not going to attempt to match it. Also there is a 3'x5' area in the living room where the soap stone stove used to sit.
I am going to get some prefinished 3 1/2' stuff that is darker so I can do a bordered inset.
Stephen suggested coming here for answers. He did mention using glue from Lowe's and a biscuit joiner.
I was thinking using a straight edge and a router to get a decent lap joint. I was wanting to turn the wood 90* to the existing.
I have a table saw, chop saw, and router.
What blade do I need to make purty cuts?
What you think about my idea?
Thanks in advance!
Howdy Ken!
