Anyhow I am totally new to owning a house with hardwood floors. Heres the scoop...

I put a few scratches in a 1' x 1' area in my foyer. I mentioned it to my builder and he said "o thats easy I'll just throw some polyurethane on it". It seemed like a bad idea, but I figured he knew what he was doing. So he did...

Now not only do I have scratches in that area, but that area is now glowing!!! Is there a way I can fix this? By the time he figures it out I hope to ahve it done...

Specs:

Brand new house
Oak floors
3 coats of polyurethane originally

He needs to sand off the coats he applied and hire the guys the did the work originally to comeback and feather in the finish originally used.
