My house has Bruce Summit Hill in Natural color all throughout the house with the exception of 2 bedrooms (which have carpet). I am going to replace the carpet with wood. I want to match to the existing wood, however, I have read that the Summit Hill isn't a very good plank.

Is there another Bruce plannk that is close enough in appearance that I could use it in the bedrooms and it wouldn't be too different from what is in the hall? The Summit Hill is 1/4" thick, If I went with a 3/8" would it be very noticeable if a transition piece was used?
