Hello again, I bought Bruce 3/4" hardwood with lifetime finish. I am sure that is exagerated on there part. Anyway, I have a few boards I have laid down and they are not fush on top. One in particular is raised not really excessive but you can tell there is a lip. Is there anything I can do about it? I don't want to try and hammer it down because I will probably just mess up the board, I don't want to apply some more laquer to the low spot because it probably won't match up very well, is this normal. Will it settle naturally over time or is there some reasonable way to smooth it down? Thank you

typical to have overwood in a prefinished floor up to the thickness of a credit card is considered acceptable. I know its pretty weak but thats how they roll.

Pull it and throw in a new one. It's not that hard.

Probably poor milling which is pretty common for cheap stuff like this.
