I am new to this forum and hoping to get a question answered. Does anyone know the difference in Bruce's Dundee CB1216 vs. Bruce's #ABC1426? Dundee is Bruce's top of the line meaning they assign it a best status out of their good/better/best. It is a blend of select and premium. America's Best Choice is exclusive to Lowe's and on the Bruce website their is no difference. When I called Bruce, the ten year veteran salesman thought that the Dundee line would have a higher quality grade mix but that was his opinion as he is not on the production floor. I would prefer to get a better grade but need to know IF there is any difference. Would be grateful to get any help with this.

I used to be familiar with many brands years ago. I recall Bruce had lines under different names and the big box store prices were lower priced. It almost makes sense the big box is a lower quality product.

What's the cost difference now? Realistically you're dealing with a mass produced product where profit and quantity over quality prevails. For starter floors or first time homeowners the pricing is right, but don't expect it to match up with others as I am sure you know.

Remember. We walk on floors. That's what they are made for. Today many expect far too much out of flooring that takes the most abuse over any other building product.

Buy what you like.
