I was called to the house of a good friend today as she was nearly in tears over her in progress hardwood installation. She said the wood was brazilian oak and it said "amazonia" all over the packaging. I'm not familiar with this type of flooring (engineered.) She was upset because of the inconsistency of the flooring, lots of dark streaks (that would look like dirt to me), knots, and even holes the installers had attempted to fill with dark putty. I didn't know what to tell her other than there's no way someone would install the stuff surface filled with putty in my house! They sent her 7 more boxes of wood looking for more acceptable pieces but she felt they were as bad as the rest they had sent her. What is this product supposed to look like? I'm not familiar with it.

not familiar with that brand but from your discription it sounds like it was a cabin grade or second, was this floor sold as first quality?
