Gary,
I forgot my power jack and was helping out my buddy with a floor and he pulled it out, he swore by it but I wasnt to impressed with it.
I got both versions of the power jack and they are awesome, pulling walls is super fast and easy and with those bum boards all I do is the following.

For really warped boards, I shoot some subfloor glue under that board and I screw in my other power jack to the floor and compress it, ten I shoot a few staples to hold that sucker and voila! And if I only have my wall pulling powerjack I screw in a shorty 2x4 and pretend its a wall and use it for leverage against the warped board and do the same, glue and staples, usually does the job, but some boards are just not meant to be used as flooring, lol.
Dont forget to cut some of the paper out for the glue cause then it wont stick, lol, Ive done it a few times when I was in the groove hitting in.

I don't waste my time. I throw the bowed or warped piece into the scrap pile and get another good piece of flooring. The time wasted attempting to make a bad board into a good board is simply not cost effective. If you are determined to use that board, at least cut it in half to make it easier to install.

I have the PortaNails, Porta-Jack. Never really needed it, as I cull really bowed boards out.

I gots me a Quick-Jack, came with a deal when I bought my Bostitch stapler. Works great and used it on my redwood deck as well. Check out the smaller images for ease of use.
