I am looking to put down some prefinished Bruce 2 1/4 x 3/4 nail down. Is it at all possible to install a prefinished accent border in a contrasting color. Could I lay the field; border it with a 1 - 1 1/2 in ripped accent strip then wrap the accent strip with another row or two of the field material. I realize I may need to mill some grooves to accept splines, would I also have issues with the microbevel. I realize that borders are usually reserved for site finished applications but is it possible to get a good result using all prefinished materials. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

very nice, are the dark accent strips full width pieces so that you were able to use the factory tounges and grooves, or did you rip them and if so did you mill tounges and grooves.

It seems like any time you don't have a solid tongue and groove connection you are inviting problems.
