I'm a flooring newbie, but have done woodworking for years. My living room floor is 16 year old engineered oak. It has a good wear layer that is about half the overall thickness. The finish is pretty beat up now, and I can't seem to keep it clean. I'd like to use Bona Traffic on it (after reading and looking at pictures)
Most of the wood is in perfect shape but there are some gaps around the room that have formed over the years. I am pretty sure I can get away with rescreening. What is the proper steps for taking care of this?
- Screen - Clean - fill gaps (with sandable, color matched wood fill?) - Screen - Clean - Bona Traffic?
