I'm getting into my house in a few days which has carpet over maple hardwood. I'm planning on refinishing the floors before my wife and I move in. I'm comfortable with everything, but unsure about what finish to use. The floor sander rental place suggested Bona, but it was just straight up "Bona" (not mega or traffic), which seems to be their more DIY oriented finish that I can't seem to find any info on (was about $80/gal).

Instead of that, I was thinking about doing a coat of a sealer, two coats of Bona Mega and a final coat of Bona Traffic. Would this be enough? Is it kosher to mix traffic and mega? I wouldn't mind saving a few dollars on the less expensive sealer and mega.

This method will work just fine. Traffic is the better because it contains a hardener.
