Wanting to install a boarder of eight strips (2.25") parallel to walls with a basket weave on the corners to follow the tray ceiling. Field will be same oak strips, with a small intervening dark boarder of cherry
What would recommend for sequence? Work across the room perpendicular to the field? Do entire boarder then field? Vice-versa?

The field goes in first when I do it Ed, much easier and tighter imo. Run it wild and cut it on the floor is my preference.

There are varying methods but this one seems more used.
