I hired a professional to redo my hardwood floors on a house the I just bought. The wood is Jatoba, (Brazilian Cherry). He applied a neutral water based stain, but the result is blotchy and you can see a a lot strikes, and drips. Here are some photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tontauben ... 414017140/
He is 100% sure that in a few week times the wood will darken all the stains are going to disappear. Should I trust him? it would be terrible If the wood is going to stay like this. What do you think? Thanks for your help!

OMG,
for what the reason he applied natural stain on the Brazilian Cherry???
There are some woods that you can't stain because they are so tough that they do not absorb anything inside. One of those woods is Brazilian Cherry. I thought every flooring specialist knows that fact. Brazilian Cherry floors can be only finished, they can not be stained. Those stain spots will not disappear. It's always going to look like it looks now. Unfortunately, the floor must be sanded over again.
