Hi all,

I found an apartment I'd like to rent, however I noticed that the floors are darkly stained (see attached pictures). I am concerned about mold being an issue and was looking for more information on the stains. When I spoke to the owner, he explained the staining was due to the floors sitting under linoleum for 50 years in addition to the process of removing the linoleum. I was hoping the experts here could just let me know if this is something to be concerned about.

the stains are a result of wood being under linoleum, getting soaked from a leak form the dishwasher/sink etc..then being trapped under linoleum and it stained the wood.

most likely mold isn't a concern.
