Hello, I have 2 questions,

1. Can biscuit be used in lieu of spline for 3/4" thick planks?
2. Normally, does the new hardwood floor go under or butted to the face of the existing door jambs?

1. Yes, but splines are way better and easier to use.

2. If existing doorjambs are in place, they get undercut, so the flooring goes underneath.

Can I rip a plank of wood to size on the table saw and use it as a spline? What type of wood does the spline needs to be?

Listen to Exquisite Flooring!!!!

Just buy some and save yourself a little frustration, getting a perfect thin rip.

It is not that I don't want to buy. I checked a few places and they told me they only deal with contractors or people that have account with them.
