I'm going to lay down 3/4 bamboo solid flooring on above grade concrete slab. I've tested for moisture using polyfilm and tape method on different areas of the slab and have found no moisture... but for my peace of mind I'd like to put down a moisture barrier.

What is recommended as far as moisture barrier and adhesive? Manufactuer instructions doesn't really recommend a specific brand other than staying away from gypsum based patches for leveling.

Thanks!

I have been impressed with sika adhesive. They have a moisture control system to work with their adhesive. You might give that a look.

If you use Sika, get a respirator and goggles!!!!

That T-55 adhesive, burned my eyes, throat and nose, before I broke out the respirator. Had a headache the rest of the day, too.

I'd rather not deal with the fumes... especially with kids

After reading many posts on this site I'm thinking of going with Bostiks MVP and Best...

you cannot go wrong with that combo, recently i have been using the mapei wfm concrete membrance and their 990 glue. Also, if you like bostik, try using their tko or pro-cure glue. Much, Much easier to spread and you will yeild more if your not the quickest behind the mallet.
