I just removed vinyl tiles from two full baths and one half bath. I found soft yellow pine floors in great shape. I am sanding the floors in preparation for a new finish. I like the idea of oil or wax to reduce scratches and ease of repair. However, I don't know if oil and wax are recommended for bathrooms. I also want to add some color and wonder if stain is the only choice for color. Can stain and oil or wax be combined?

i would say bona chemi traffic would be the best water based varnish for that job.
