What would you put down for a barrier (felt, aquabar, rosin, kraft??) between your subfloor and 3/4" unfinished hardwood on the main floor of a bungalow? Basement is finished. What am I achieving with the barrier you are recommending? Thanks JP

Methods and or products will vary as you'll notice all over the web, but for the most part its' #15 felt or aquabar. It functions as a retarder and not a barrier. The key in your case is keeping that basement dry. Keep an eye on the relative humidity levels and adjust as needed. For most it's a matter of using a de-humidification system unless you're in high desert country.
