Question:

Have a room, 200sq/ft, do I want bamboo or laminate?
The bamboo looks gorgeous, the laminate less so. I have priced each option.

The bamboo is 50% more expensive with installation thrown in.
I can afford it, but will the bamboo really help with the re-sale value of my house in five years?

Any suggestions would be of great help.

Laminate adds no value to the home according to appraisal values, but it does add to the buyer that hates carpet. Now, wood or bamboo, add an appraised value.
