Ok, I'm going to install a bamboo floor. I like the look, even the variability as noted in a previous post. So this is the flooring I have chosen. I have picked the natural, vertical finish. I have also decided on doing a clikc lock type of floor. I could probably handle the nailing since I have a compressor but i figured since this is my first install and it's across several rooms that I should apply the KISS theory. So since I'm doing a click lock type, and bamboo my options are limited. There are 2 brands I'm considering and before I make this big purchase I want to make sure I have looked at all my options.
1. Springwood brand, $3.75/sqft.
2. Teregren from local dealer. This is the Maybach of bamboo floors I'm not sure I need this excess. However the fit and finish quality is very high $7.40/sqft
So basically my question is has anyone had any experience with the Springwood to say if it's a good quality or not? Also does anyone know if there are any click lock bamboos that fall into the price range between those 2? I know a big box store sells some but none with a vertical grain only horizontal. Thanks.
