Hi, Bought my house year and half ago and have had an infestation of powder post beetles in bamboo floor which was installed in 2005. I read that replacing infected boards can sometimes fix the problem. Also, that they move slowly. But this infection is along two walls and a few are 4' from wall and it spread quickly. A few more holes have showed up across other side of house. My feeling is that the entire floor (about 700 sq. ft.) is infected and the agriculture guy agrees. My feeling is that I would be throwing money at fixing what is damaged only later to have to replace the entire floor with another outbreak somewhere else. Wanted to know if anyone else has had problems with this and what you did to resolve it? BTW the infestation stems from the bamboo and is not in subfloor or structure. Thank you!
