We ordered 460 sqft mirage natural maple select and better semi gloss 3&1/4 width wood floor. After we got the delivery of 23 boxes, we opened two boxes and were surprised to find there were many chipped wood pieces in these boxes. The missing wood parts are all in the back of the wood floor instead of the face. We thought Mirage has the best reputation for prefinished maple wood floor, so we are not sure if this is normal for Mirage wood floor. We also want to hear from your expert opinion whether these missing parts on the back could cause trouble for the floor install in the future. Thanks a lot for your time and help.

I wouldn't worry about any unless it runs across the whole strip and for a large area. Then there's the 5% rule.

I bought Red Oak that was manufactured by the same company that manufactures Mirage. Some of my boards had the same blemishes that yours have. I had the same concerns that you do so I used them in low traffic areas, i.e. along walls and in closets. I happened to run into a pro installer today and asked him the question....same answer i.e. closets and low traffic areas.....just in case.
