 Post subject: Anyone know how to get this flooring look?

Hi folks,

I've been trying to track down whether it's possible to recreate the flooring in the attached pictures. I've seen it in a number of Boston area homes from the first few decades of the 1900s.

Do any of you know what the wood type is? Are any of you aware of stains, products or techniques to get this look? I'm pretty obsessed with the variety of colors.

My first instinct tells me its Doug Fir..

But you wont get the same look with todays Doug fir.

Would need to see better pics showing the grain to fully identify it.

but for the time period you mention, im fairly certain this is what you have there.
