I am thinking of installing preglued VersaStrip engineered hardwoood floor in place of carpet, but somebody told me it may squeak if the batch does not have a proper amount of glue, which I cannot control because this product is PREGLUED.

Did anybody use this PREGLUED VersaStrip hardwood and if so, any negative experience like squeaking etc.?

I installed 1200 sq.ft. of it last summer. It was fine; better than expected. You will need a good tapping block and a quality pull bar. Some of the boards required a fair amount of banging to get to go together.
