Hi all!

I just bought a house in Virginia built in the mid-1800s. We have no idea how old the floors are, but they are pretty thick t&g of varying width. They were also sanded down and refinished in the past couple of years.

Any idea what kind of wood this is? If so, is it something we could easily stain a deep color?

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!
