I have br111 triangulo installed, floated on concrete, in two rooms I left plenty of expansion gap between the two floors. I purchased their t-molding, when I set the t-molding in the gap between the two floors, the bottom of the t-molding is a 1/4" off the concrete. I haven't seen any specific instructions for installing the t-molding. I'm guessing some liquid nail would work, but I am worried when I push the t-molding into it, that it will spread in the expansion gap gluing my floor down to the concrete :( What is the proper way of installing this molding?

I was thinking of making the t-molding's taller by gluing and screwing some more wood to it.

Drill and dowl the concrete, and then you can nail it down.

Thanks for the replies, I always learn some much here.

Just to be clear you want me to drill holes in the concrete and insert and glue round wooded dowels so I can nail into the dowels? What size of dowels should I use, how far apart ? Doesn't the t-molding need some support since the bottom of it is off the concrete a 1/4" ?

I also have some baby-threshold to install on the edge of the floor where it will meet carpet, I was justing going to glue that down, should that be nailed to dowels also?

I would use larger dowels, 1/4-1/2 inch (whatever you can fit between the two floors) It will make hitting a dowel, and not the concrete that much easier.Drill your holes slightly smaller for a nice snug fit, get all the dust out of the hole and put some glue in it, tap the dowels into place then put your t cap over and pre-drill/nail where the dowels are.
