Hi
I'd like to fit a floating wood floor (either engineered or solid) into a first floor flat where the floor is from concrete. I've had various fitters come round and they've all given slightly conflicting advice.
The floor is level, however, there are marks on the floor where it has been skimmed using a trowel (so no more than a millimeter or two). There are also a few pits over 5mm deep and a few centimeters wide which I assume I can fill with a concrete mix.
Can someone advise, is it best to:
1. Leave floor as is and fit underlay such as all in one gold or wood to concrete as per
http://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/acc ... s/underlay. Or perhaps a better alternative?
2. Sand down using concrete sander and then fit underlay
3. Leave as is and use deckfon or similar boards
Many thanks.
