Hey Guys, I haven't visited the site in a while, it's nice to see that most of you are still here giving good pointers.

So, I have a question-- I am about to try my first penetrating oil application, I believe the customer has chosen Rubio Monocoat. The flooring is to be Red Oak, with a mixed grade/ euro style installation. I am familiar with oil and water base finish applications, but would really appreciate some advice on how this stuff works.
I have been told to rub it in around walls, then buff into the rest of the floors. My questions are: how much do I apply? What type of buffing pad will I need? Do I just smear it on the wood and buff it into the floor? Can it be applied over stain? Do I only apply one coat?
As I said, I am very unfamiliar with this stuff, and would greatly appreciate any advice I can get.
Thanks in advance.

http://www.rubioapp.com/ Follow the instructions here and you will be amazed at just how simple it is and don't worry about overlap or the different sections not blending because they will. Remember this is a penetrating finish not a top coat finish so remove all excess while applying.
