Hello,

I have been looking at posts and the FAQ's regarding underlayment and such and I have a couple questions.

1. I have an Advantech 23/32" subfloor but it is 19.2" oc. From the FAQ sticky and posts, I understand that they consider Advantech OSB and that 3/4" should be good at 16" oc. But how about Advantech at 19.2" oc? I am running i-joists under it that makes a difference.

2. Staple length. I am installing 3/4 "x3 1/4" Columbia brand hickory solid wood flooring. They recommend 2" staples. From what I have read, that will lead to blowing through the bottom with the 3/4 Advantech. Are there any ramifications to using 1 1/2" staples?

Thanks.

Kevin

Well I guess I'll wing it if no one has any thoughts.

Thanks.
