I am starting a project to redo my staircase and make it a wood staircase. My current staircase was made by the builder and is carpeted.

I am planning to use the Red Oak Tread and risers from StairTek

My question is: Which adhesive to use to stick the tread and risers to the existing staircase? Should I use nails too? or not?

Thanks!
