I am planning on installing engineered hardwood flooring in my house. The local Home center recommended to use Bruce Equalizer as an Adhesive for the job. The flooring manufacturer does not make a specific recommendation - they just recommend to use a air cured urethan adhesive. I found that Bostik's Best seems to have a good reputation among professionals. I was wondering is someone here has some experience with Bruce - Equalizer Adhesive or the Bostik's product.

Thanks,

Patrick

Equalizer? We don't even offer it on the website because of past problems with Bruce adhesives. Best to stay with a winner-- Bostiks.

Bostik's BST, not BEST, or Taylor 2071, or Parabond 4002, Franklin 812, Stauf 960

Bostik's BEST does not hold the trowel ridges. It slumps flat, so even little imperfections become a hollow spot.

Check the concretes moisture vapor emissions.

Equalizer is as good as Bostik's Best but, I won't use any other adhesive they make. Bostik Best does slump and so does the Bruce Equalizer brand so I would go with Floorguy on the BST advice.
