My apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere...

I am remodeling our house with putting in new flooring. We have chosen Santos Mahogany Solid hardwoods from IndusParquet. I got quotes from two hardwood installers. One of them suggested to acclimation time of 2 weeks and another suggested just 3-4 days. The one that suggested two weeks also mentioned that we run the heater at 65 degrees. The manufacturer has suggested that the acclimation time is based on moisture content between the hardwood floors and the subfloor, not on the exact number of days.

Should I acclimate for 3-4 days or 2 weeks..? Should I run the heater at 65 degrees at that time..?

I live in San Francisco Bay Area. I would appreciate your comments...

A lot of flooring will be delivered at 10% MC. This is pretty close to what you would find in most of the Bay Area. A good mechanic will be able to have a good installation. You will need to check the MC of the flooring when it is delivered and compare to the sub-floor for best results.

Acclimation has nothing to do with time. after the wood is delivered the installer should check both the subfloor in multiple areas and various pieces of wood from different boxes

The new wood should be within 2 to 4% of the subfloors moisture content and your good to go. This temp wise around 70F.
