We have decided on acacia flooring and wanted to do the stairs--the brand we picked we thought they had treads, but after calling to confirm yesterday we learned that they don't do them anymore just the stair nose. We really want actual treads and not flooring and stair nose. Does anyone have any idea where I could find solid acacia stair treads? Thanks!

Thank you! It looks like the treads are made out of planks that are put together (sorry don't know the term for this) if our flooring is wider than the planks they used to make these wouldn't it look bad? The plank flooring we are getting is 4 3/4 inch wide.

IMO they should look great. Any tread you find will be "glued up", your not going to find one hunk of wood. Well I should say it's very rare, if possible.

You wouldn't want a solid piece anyway.

Agreed. Stair treads are usually 2 or 3 pieces of wood glued together for stability reasons as well as cost reasons. Anyone that wants 1 piece treads will most likely have to custom order raw acacia and have it cut to size for each tread.
