Howdy forum members!

I'm working with some 1/2'' acacia boards of 6'' width, laying them as a floor in a small sailboat cabin.

I don't have much experience with marine applications, and I thought I would introduce this question to a wider community through the web.

Any ideas on how to finish the wood? The owner wants there to be as open and unfinished feel on his feet as possible.

The wood is Really hard, and beautiful yellow.

I know the wood is going to come into contact with water, but the owner also says he is willing to be diligent to avoid a hardening finish. The owner talking of using a Danish oil (which I know is not typical for flooring).

Anyways, any help would be really great!
Cheers all.
